Styling the home for Spring.

If like me you adore flowers, you are probably loving all the beautiful seasonal blooms that instantly give your home that colourful Spring feeling! We may not sell flowers at The Cosy Corner House but we do have a gorgeous selection of homeware and accessories to help style your home for the season.

I've been loving filling our new white flower pot full of tulips, and of course our wildflower coasters are just perfect on the dining table. I have also filled a jug with pussy willow to hang some decorative eggs on. I found mine at John Lewis.

Our own Woof & Wilson Designs collection is all about Spring at the minute too! From tulips and snowdrops, to sheep and bunnies, these charming fabric freehand machine embroidered pictures will bring a touch of the English countryside to your home. Designed and handmade in our studio in Buckinghamshire, England.

The sets of glass tealight holders are new on our website and come in clear or grey glass. They are gorgeous, and I've also been putting little bunches of flowers in them too! One of my favourite products at the moment has to be the beautiful hanging herb drying rack. Lovely for those of us growing herbs and also perfect for drying flowers. It definitely adds some country charm to your kitchen!
There are plenty more items on our website www.thecosycornerhouse.co.uk to help bring Spring in to your home, so do pop over to take a peek!

Finally as a gift to you this Easter weekend I'm giving 15% off everything on our website across this Bank Holiday weekend!  Simply use this code at checkout -

Waving goodbye to Summer.

So with September arriving it's now officially Autumn (although I'm hoping we are still going to get a few weeks nice weather). It has been the most wonderful Summer! We introduced a new member to our house when we got our Labrador puppy Hooper at the beginning of July, so Summer has seen many lovely dog walks. We also got to explore beautiful Norfolk for a few days and have enjoyed several family BBQ's. I've personally really enjoyed being able to use our garden more this Summer and am enjoying slowly transforming it (it's taken rather a battering with a new puppy though!).

I thought I'd say goodbye to Summer with a few photos of the little delights that nature has given us this season.

The tiniest but most important creatures are some of my favourites. I have big plans to make my garden even more bee and butterfly friendly next year!

I'm hoping that Summer isn't coming to an end just yet as I really want to enjoy the garden and some more sunshine a little longer but I won't mind when Autumn does arrive as it brings it's own magical set of delights! Personally I'm rather looking forward to the cosy darker evening that Autumn brings. How about you, are you an Autumn fan?

Much love,

Our Norfolk break.

I haven't managed to update the blog for a couple of weeks as I've been kept very busy by my cheeky but wonderful new Labrador puppy! I will introduce him properly in a blog post soon but first I wanted to share our lovely little four night break to Norfolk which we went on just before getting our pup! I had never been to Norfolk before and was really eager to visit for a few reasons. Firstly it was a great opportunity to visit friends of ours who moved to Norfolk last Summer. Secondly images I see of rural Norfolk always looks so beautiful and we wanted a nice country get-away. Another bonus of the county for me personally is that it's so flat! I know that sounds like an odd reason to most people but when you live with a congenital heart defect like mine where walking around is very hard work and pretty impossible if it's hilly, the idea of flat countryside is wonderful! Where I live in Buckinghamshire the countryside is beautiful but rather hilly, making much of it inaccessible to me.

We stayed in a beautiful little cottage surrounded by woodland and stunning countryside views. There were woodland walks on the property as well as the owners (who's house was attached to the side of the cottage, but still allowed plenty of privacy) having chickens and ponies.

We spent a day with our friends who now live in Norfolk and went to Cromer with them, enjoying Fish & Chips by the sea in glorious sunshine! Karl & I headed off to the coast again on another day but this time to Mundesley where we had lunch in a lovely pub overlooking the sea.

We also visited Alby Crafts & Gardens, a delightful collection of crafts being made and sold in barns next to beautiful gardens. There was also a fabulously quirky cafe on site where we stopped for tea and a brownie! We took so many photos in the gardens and I should say that many of the best ones were taken by Karl so I have him to thank for some of these shots!

We totally fell in love with Norfolk and it's beautiful coast & countryside. We will definitely be going back in the future as there's so many more places I want to explore there!
